Saled looks back on a successful Symposium Durable Public Lighting

For a short moment of time, the Salentein Lounge, business area of soccer club IJsselmeervogels, was the epicentre of the Public Lighting branch. Numerous specialists and public lighting operators gathered in Bunschoten for the first edition of the Symposium Durable Public Lighting. Saled was involved as initiator and co-organizer in this day and looks back on a successful first edition.

The reason for organizing the Symposium is the state of affairs within Public Lighting. Durability is a hot topic for a number of years, but many municipalities are behind on schedule when it comes to achieving the goals of the Agreement on Energy for Sustainable Growth. Therefore Saled collected various experts in the branch, found some municipalities willing to share their experiences and arranged the opportunity to share knowledge.

Need for knowledge sharing
Last Tuesday showed that there is a need for knowledge sharing for municipalities. A large part of the Dutch Public Lighting industry was present. The attendees were captivated by the presentations and the breaks were intensively used to ask questions and share experiences. After the morning program packed with information, knowledge and inspiration there was a boat trip with authenthic Dutch sailing botters where the attendees could talk further about all information while enjoying a delicious lunch.

Saled can look back on a very successful first edition and hopes that this day will contribute to the advancement of sustainability of the Public Lighting in the Netherlands.
