At the end of May 2020, the installation of the new Saled LED lighting was completed in the P1-ArenA parking garage under the Johan Cruijff ArenA. The switch to LED is part of the multi-year plan to design all ArenA parking garages sustainably and energy-efficiently. Main contractor BAM Bouw en Techniek again chose Saled as their LED supplier because of previous successful collaborations.
Because LED lighting is very sustainable and environmentally friendly, this fits in well with the plans of the Municipality of Amsterdam to reduce CO2 emissions and energy consumption. The new lighting from Saled will provide significant savings: with energy-saving amounts to more than one million kWh, 1,136,502 to be precise.
