The current PL-L and PL-C lamps of the municipality of Weesp were replaced by the retrofit solutions from Saled: PS-L and PS-C lamps. The municipality again opts for our quality. The last part of the retrofit plan was carried out, a total of 2300 Saled lamps have now been installed within the municipality.
Approximately 800 pieces of PL-L lamps of 24, 36 and 55 watts and PL-C lamps of 26 watts have been replaced by our LED PS-L lamp of 13, 18 and 26 watts and the LED PS-C lamp of 13 watts. Saled has a 1-on-1 replacement for all PL-L, PL-C, and PL-T lamps that fits in the current fixture.
Previously, 1500 Saled retrofit lamps were installed in the municipality of Weesp, divided over several deliveries. Satisfied with this delivery, the municipality again ordered a large number of lamps. The switch to LED lighting results in more than 50% energy savings per year.
Phasing out conventional lighting in the news
Since it has become clear that the production of the conventional PL lamp will stop from February 24, 2023, the prices of conventional lighting have increased significantly. The phasing out of the PL lamp has been making the rounds in the news lately, which has led to more interest in conventional lamps and therefore an automatic increase in prices. On September 1, 2021, two EU regulations were tightened: the SLR legislation and the RoHS directive from which this measure results. Fortunately, there is an alternative available, which is retrofit.
